Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival 2026: dates, tickets and what's blooming

The Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival is held at Auburn Botanic Gardens in Sydney's west, where more than 200 cherry trees flower through the Japanese garden in late winter. Cumberland City Council runs nine days of Japanese food, cultural performances, guided forest walks, origami workshops and a quiet Zen Zone. Tickets are sold online only, with none at the gate. The 2026 festival ran 22 to 30 August and has finished, so watch for next year's tickets from around July.
