Australian National Botanic Gardens

On the lower slopes of Black Mountain in Acton, these gardens grow only Australian plants, which makes them the best single place in the country to see natives side by side. Spring, September to November, is the peak, when the Proteaceae beds come into flower, including waratahs, an unusual white waratah and grevilleas.
